You might be wondering what the best way to post on TikTok is. We all ask this question sometimes. Whether you’re new to TikTok or an experienced content creator, I’ll teach you the best way that help me increase my videos’ views and the likelihood that my videos will become viral! Let me get right to it!

Best Ways to Post on TikTok

We have discussed the best ways to post on TikTok and they are;

1. Post 75 MB Maximum Upload Size When Using an Android Device

We suggest that you should upload a 75MB or less video to TikTok when you’re using an Android to help you post high-quality content. Otherwise, in a situation where your video is larger than 75MB, TikTok can compress it.

2. Share a Maximum of 250 MB from an iOS Device

TikTok can compress a video when it’s too large, like on Android. So, I advise posting your video that is not more than 250 MB anytime you want to upload from your iOS device. If you follow this size restriction just like me, you’ll start having great videos on TikTok.

3. Upload only the Best Formats for TikTok – MOV or MP4

You should know that TikTok only supports MP4 or MOV video formats, which is why people post videos on the platform in these formats. In a case where you go ahead to use a different format, such as AVI, it can make the quality of your TikTok videos suffer. I make sure to keep to this whenever I’m posting on TikTok. For you to alter your video’s resolution:

    • Go ahead and open your preferred video editing program before adding your TikTok video to the timeline.
    • Then, you should select 1080p for export (to create a 1080×1920 dimension).
    • For you to improve your video’s quality, you can export it in 1080p making use of H.264 coding as an MP4 file.

If your videos have low-quality format, unfortunately, you cannot obtain followers or engagement metrics. Use a suitable format and buy TikTok followers to elevate your channel.

4. Use a Desktop to Improve Posts’ Quality

I can confirm that a desktop’s performance is way superior to that of a phone except in a case where that desktop is broken. I find it worthwhile uploading videos from my desktop because that helps me to improve the quality of my TikTok videos.

5. Turn on HD to Enable TikTok Posts of a High Caliber

This is one of the ways I post my TikTok content, and my account changed dramatically because of this secret function. This “HD” choice, which is posted in high resolution, assists me to get an amazing quality on TikTok. So, how do I usually turn on HD to improve my TikTok videos’ quality?

    • You should first open your application and add any video you want to post.
    • Then, you should select “Next” from the menu on your screen’s bottom right.
    • For you to access your “more options” section, slide up.
    • Afterward, you can click “Upload HD”.

If you try this out and your content is posted, it’ll help to improve its visual quality and let you resolve all the problems you may have been having!

6. Capture in 4K and Export in 1080p to Get a Good Quality on TikTok

This is a method that works very well for me. You may not know that the reason there’s a significant difference between your videos’ quality and those of other popular creators is most likely you. When you’re aiming to improve your TikTok video’s quality, record it in 4K before posting it in 1080p.

7. Make TikTok Posts More Incisive

This is another step I make use of. It just needs a short period, but I find it worthwhile, and it works well for me. You can change your videos’ quality on TikTok when you add an adjustment layer and enhance their sharpness. So, when you wonder what you should do to improve your videos’ quality and give them “extra sharpness”, you know what to do.

FAQs

How Should I Post Content Well on TikTok?

You should concentrate on your hooks, employ Studio TikTok, try to approach content creation with an open mind, also choose the proper niche, retain low-converting videos, post when it’s appropriate, stitch videos that perform well or are pertinent, and even do better, apply the green screen technique.

When is the Ideal Time for Me to Publish on TikTok?

We believe Tuesday at 4 p.m., Friday at 8 a.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. are good times to post on the TikTok platform. Reach often peaks in the late morning, early afternoon, or early evening, and then tends to pick up later most days.

Harnessing the Power of Keywords

Understanding Intent Behind Travel-Related Searches

The art of travel SEO begins with a deep understanding of your audience’s search intent. Travelers embark on a journey that typically consists of four distinct phases: dreaming, planning, booking, and experiencing. By segmenting keywords according to these phases, you align your content and optimize it to meet the specific needs of users at each stage.

Informational keywords cater to the “dreaming” phase, where users seek inspiration and ideas for their next adventure (e.g., “best hiking trails in New Zealand”). Navigational keywords guide users during the “planning” phase, helping them find relevant websites and resources (“Airbnb New Zealand”). Transactional keywords dominate the “booking” phase, targeting users ready to make a purchase (“cheap flights to New Zealand”).

Understanding user intent is crucial, but identifying the most effective keywords for each stage can be daunting, especially for businesses without dedicated SEO resources. In such cases, partnering with an experienced link building agency that specializes in the travel industry can prove invaluable. These agencies possess the necessary tools, expertise, and industry knowledge to conduct thorough keyword research and identify the most relevant and effective keywords for your target audience.

Advanced Keyword Research Strategies for Travel

While understanding user intent is crucial, identifying the right keywords is the backbone of effective travel SEO. Leverage tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to uncover niche-specific keywords with high search volumes and low competition.

Geo-targeting and local search optimization are essential for capturing location-based searches, as 72% of consumers who performed a local search visited a store within five miles. Long-tail keywords, which are more specific and targeted, can capture qualified traffic, as 70% of searches are three words or more.

Optimizing for Mobile and Voice Search

Mobile Optimization Techniques

In today’s mobile-driven world, optimizing for mobile is not just an option; it’s essential. With 61% of travelers using mobile devices to plan and book their trips, it’s paramount to ensure a seamless mobile experience. Implement Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) to deliver lightning-fast loading times, and prioritize responsive design to ensure your website adapts flawlessly to various screen sizes.

Voice Search Optimization for Travel Queries

Voice search is rapidly gaining traction, with 55% of consumers using voice assistants to conduct online searches. As travelers increasingly rely on voice commands to research destinations, accommodations, and activities, structuring your content to answer common voice search queries effectively is vital. Optimizing for this emerging trend is crucial, as 71% of voice search results come from a single website, giving you a significant competitive edge.

Leveraging Content to Drive Engagement

Creating Compelling Travel Content

Engaging content forms the core of travel marketing, with 71% of travelers reading travel blogs and 55% watching travel videos. To captivate your audience, focus on creating content that resonates with their interests and desires. Blogs, videos, and reviews that tell compelling stories and provide authentic insights into destinations and experiences are more likely to inspire and influence travel decisions.

Video SEO for Travel Content

    • Using descriptive and keyword-rich titles that accurately represent the video’s content.
    • Providing detailed and keyword-rich descriptions to enhance visibility in search results.
    • Tagging your videos with relevant keywords to improve discoverability.
    • Utilizing platforms like YouTube to leverage their extensive reach and visibility.

Technical SEO Considerations for Travel Websites

Well-structured website architecture is crucial for enhancing user experience and supporting SEO efforts. Design a logical site structure that makes it easy for visitors to navigate and find the information they need. Additionally, implement an effective internal linking strategy to distribute page authority and improve rankings for targeted keywords.

Improving Site Speed and Performance

In the travel industry, where split-second decisions can make or break a booking, site speed and performance are paramount.

This makes web page speed optimization a top priority. Use tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights and WebPageTest to identify performance bottlenecks, and apply techniques like image compression, browser caching, and code minification to enhance load times.

On-Page SEO Optimization

Optimizing Content for SEO

Creating content that resonates with your target audience and ranks well in search engines requires a delicate balance. To achieve this, it is crucial to craft compelling and keyword-rich titles and meta descriptions for each page. These elements serve as the first impression in search results, encouraging users to click through to your site.

For example, a well-optimized title and meta description for a guide on “Best Hiking Trails in New Zealand” could look like:

Title: “10 Breathtaking Hiking Trails in New Zealand for Nature Lovers”

Meta Description: “Explore New Zealand’s stunning landscapes on these must-do hiking trails. From challenging mountain treks to scenic coastal walks, we’ve got you covered.”

Heading Tags (H1, H2, H3)

Structuring content with proper heading tags not only improves readability for users but also helps search engines understand the importance and hierarchy of information. Best practices for using headings effectively include:

    • Summarizing the entire article with one keyword-rich, confusion-free H1 tag.
    • Expanding on the different elements of your H1 with H2 tags.
    • Using H3 tags for additional segments to enhance readability and organization.
    • Staying focused and concise with each heading tag for optimal SEO results.

Enhancing User Experience

Image Alt Tags

Travel content is inherently visual, making image alt tags essential for both user experience and SEO. By incorporating relevant keywords into descriptive alt tags, you provide context for search engines to understand your visual content better. Tips for creating informative and SEO-friendly alt tags include:

    • Use descriptive alt tags that accurately describe an image’s content.
    • Incorporating relevant keywords naturally, without keyword stuffing.
    • Ensuring the alt tag is readable and understandable by humans.

URL Structure

A clean and concise URL structure not only improves user experience but also signals relevance to search engines. Guidelines for structuring URLs for maximum SEO impact include:

    • Using descriptive keywords in the URL to provide context.
    • Keeping the URL short and easy to read, separating words with hyphens.
    • Including the target keywords in the URL, especially for important pages.
Successful travel websites like TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet have mastered the art of creating SEO-friendly URLs, such as: “https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g255106-d256695-Reviews-Mount_Eden-Auckland_Central_North_Island.html” & “https://www.lonelyplanet.com/new-zealand/hiking-tramping/a/nar/6b9d9d50-6aea-4257-afcb-e0b72d3ae292/355771“.

Collaboration with Travel Bloggers and Influencers

Leveraging Relationships for Content Reach

Collaborating with established travel bloggers and social media influencers can be a powerful way to reach new audiences and create engaging content. These partnerships not only provide access to their loyal followers but also offer opportunities for cross-promotion and backlink acquisition.

When choosing the right partners, it’s essential to align with influencers who bring value to your target audience and are relevant to your brand. For example, a luxury resort may collaborate with an influencer known for their high-end travel experiences, while an adventure tour company could partner with an outdoor enthusiast with a strong following.

Mutually Beneficial Collaborations

Successful collaborations are built on mutual benefits and clear expectations. Examples of fruitful collaborations in the travel industry include:

    • A travel blogger writing a sponsored post or review about a hotel or destination, with compensation and a complimentary stay provided.
    • An influencer creating social media content showcasing their experience with a tour company, in exchange for a free or discounted tour package.
    • A brand partnering with a group of influencers for a joint social media campaign or content series, offering exclusive access or perks.

To structure agreements that provide value to both parties, it’s essential to establish clear guidelines, compensation models, and expectations upfront. This could include setting specific deliverables, deadlines, and content usage rights, as well as outlining the responsibilities of each party.

By following best practices for collaboration, such as approaching partnerships strategically and ensuring respectful and mutually beneficial terms, travel brands can forge successful connections with influencers and bloggers, amplifying their content reach and driving engagement with their target audience.

Schema Markup Implementation

Schema markup is a powerful tool for enhancing your Search Engine Results Page (SERP) visibility and providing users with rich, informative results. For travel sites, implementing schema markup can be incredibly beneficial in several ways:

    • Structured Data: Providing structured data helps search engines better understand the content and relevance of a webpage, improving its visibility in search results.
    • Sitemaps: Sitemaps are files that list all the pages and resources on your site, giving search engines a comprehensive understanding of its structure and content.
    • Robots.txt Files: Robots.txt files communicate with web crawlers, indicating which pages or folders they can or cannot access, preventing the crawling of duplicate, low-quality, or sensitive content.

Maintaining clean and efficient code on travel websites is crucial. Best practices include:

    • HTML Sitemaps: Formatting HTML sitemaps correctly and placing them in the root directory of your site.
    • Robots.txt File: Placing the robots.txt file in the root directory and not using it as a preventive measure for sensitive content.
    • Sitemap.xml: Placing the sitemap.xml file in the root directory and referencing it in the robots.txt file.

    • Multilingual SEO: Multilingual SEO strategies involve optimizing content across different languages and regions to ensure relevance and compliance with local SEO practices. This includes conducting keyword research, creating localized content, and building region-specific backlinks.

Enhancing Accessibility and Security

Improving Website Accessibility

Implementing web accessibility best practices is crucial for catering to all users, including those with disabilities. This not only improves user engagement but can also positively impact your SEO. Key elements include:

    • Providing alternative text for images and multimedia content.
    • Ensuring keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility.
    • Implementing proper heading structure and color contrast.

Security as a Ranking Factor

Securing your website with HTTPS and other security measures is essential for protecting user data and improving SEO rankings. Search engines like Google have confirmed that they prioritize secure websites in their rankings, as security is an important factor in providing a positive user experience.

Avoiding SEO Over-Optimization

While optimization is important, it’s crucial to strike a balance between optimization and user experience to avoid penalties from search engines. Common pitfalls to avoid include:

    • Keyword Stuffing: Excessively stuffing keywords into your content in an unnatural way can result in penalties and a poor user experience.
    • Excessive Link Exchanges: Search engines can view excessive link exchanges or link schemes as manipulative and lead to penalties.

The key is to focus on creating high-quality, valuable content that provides an excellent user experience. By avoiding over-optimization tactics and prioritizing user satisfaction, you can achieve better rankings and long-term success in the travel industry.

Continuous Improvement Through Analytics

Leveraging Analytics for SEO Strategy

Continuous performance evaluation using analytics and KPIs is essential for adapting your SEO strategies to changing trends and user behavior. Key elements include:

A/B Testing

Conducting A/B testing for content and landing pages can provide valuable insights into what resonates best with your audience, allowing you to optimize for higher conversion rates.

Strategies for optimizing for voice search include:

    • Use natural, conversational language in your content.
    • Focusing on long-tail, question-based keywords.
    • Incorporating frequently asked questions and their answers into your content.

Measuring Success in Travel SEO

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Track

Measuring the success of your travel SEO efforts is essential for understanding the effectiveness of your strategies and identifying areas for improvement. Set realistic KPIs for organic traffic, conversion rates, and customer engagement, and track them closely using tools like Google Analytics.

Understanding How to Upgrade to Fiber Internet in Your City

Thanks to the numerous streaming services today, millions of people choose to stay home with family and friends rather than go out. However, to enjoy these services fully, they need fast and reliable internet. In addition, many people work from home today and need the same type of connection. Fiber offers outstanding connectivity and performance and may add to the home’s value.

Why Choose Fiber Internet?

Before asking about fiber internet in your city, it’s helpful to understand how it works. Fiber uses light signals to transmit data, so the internet operates at the speed of light. Data can move at up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) or faster, while cable and DSL connections cannot keep up.

The fiber-optic cables that provide this connection aren’t as susceptible to the weather and electromagnetic interference. The internet connection is stable and reliable. In addition, fiber reduces latency. Data begins transferring as soon as it is requested. Buffering time decreases, and streaming quality improves, even when multiple family members use the internet simultaneously.

The Benefits of Fiber Internet

Switching to fiber internet ensures the home can handle the latest technology. Internet demands continue to increase, and the connection must be able to handle higher data requirements as technology advances. Fiber can. In addition, it can support smart home devices and ensure they work correctly.

Switching to Fiber

How can a person switch to fiber internet? First, they must learn whether fiber is offered in their area. Many areas of the country don’t have this option yet, but that appears to be changing. ISPs and the federal government are working to expand high-speed broadband access. Online tools are offered to search for fiber in your area.

Once a list of available providers has been developed, compare the providers to choose one. Research the plans offered, the prices, and customer service. When comparing plans, look at the number of household users, connected devices, and speed. Upon selecting a plan, contact the provider to set up the installation. The provider will send a technician to install the router and Optical Network Terminal (ONT) needed for fiber internet.

Is Fiber the Right Choice?

Individuals may not be convinced fiber-optic internet is suitable for their needs. They want to know all available options and how they compare so they can make an informed decision. Several choices exist today.

Digital subscriber line (DSL) internet relies on copper telephone lines to provide internet service to homes and businesses. These copper lines are readily available, so this may be a good choice for some. However, DSL is not as fast as fiber, and internet performance degrades over long distances.

Cable internet is faster than DSL and relies on coaxial cables to transmit data. Nevertheless, congestion is an issue when many subscribers use the internet simultaneously. Speeds won’t be consistent, and the service won’t be reliable.

Other options include satellite and wireless. Satellite is ideal for those living in rural areas with limited internet connections. However, high latency remains an issue with satellite internet, and speeds are slow compared to fiber.

Fiber internet is the best option for those with access to this technology. Determine whether it is available in your area. If it is, now is the time to switch. You won’t be disappointed when you see how amazing it is.

8 Importance of Proper Ventilation for Bathroom Vanities

Bathroom vanities are often the focal point of a bathroom’s design, serving as both functional and aesthetic elements. Bathroom vanities play a crucial role in any bathroom space, from storing essentials to enhancing the overall ambiance. This is why you should always look for the best in custom cabinets by Lovech, or others of a similar nature, so you can get exactly what you want.

However, amidst considerations of style and functionality, one aspect that is often overlooked is proper ventilation. Ventilation is essential for maintaining a healthy and comfortable environment in the bathroom, and this holds particularly true for areas housing bathroom vanities. This article delves into the significance of proper ventilation for bathroom vanities, exploring how it impacts various aspects of your bathroom space.

1. Moisture Control

One of the primary reasons for ensuring proper ventilation around a bathroom vanity is moisture control. Bathrooms are inherently humid environments due to the regular use of water for activities like showering, handwashing, and bathing. Without adequate ventilation, moisture tends to accumulate, leading to issues such as mold growth, peeling paint, and warped cabinetry. Proper ventilation helps expel excess moisture, preventing these issues and preserving the integrity of your bathroom vanities.

2. Protection of Bathroom Vanity Materials

Bathroom vanities are often crafted from materials like wood, MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), and laminates, which are susceptible to damage from exposure to moisture. Without proper ventilation, these materials can absorb moisture from the air, leading to swelling, warping, and deterioration over time. By ensuring adequate airflow around bathroom vanities, you can protect these materials and prolong the lifespan of your vanity units.

Material Tips for Protection
Wood Apply a waterproof sealant or finish to the surface of wooden vanities to create a barrier against moisture penetration.

Regularly inspect and repair any cracks, chips, or damage to the wood surface to prevent moisture from seeping in and causing further deterioration.

MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) Use moisture-resistant MDF or seal the edges of standard MDF with waterproof sealant to minimize moisture absorption.

Avoid placing MDF vanities directly in contact with water sources such as sinks and showers to prevent swelling and warping.

Laminates Choose high-quality, moisture-resistant laminates for bathroom vanities to minimize the risk of delamination and water damage.

Clean spills and splashes promptly to prevent water from seeping into the laminate surface and causing swelling or discoloration.

3. Preservation of Bathroom Tile and Flooring

In addition to bathroom vanities, proper ventilation also benefits other elements of your bathroom, such as tile and flooring. Whether you have luxury vinyl flooring, ceramic tiles, or any other type of floor covering, moisture can wreak havoc if left unchecked. Without proper ventilation, moisture trapped in the bathroom can seep into grout lines, causing them to deteriorate and tiles to loosen. Furthermore, excess moisture can damage subflooring, leading to costly repairs. Proper ventilation helps preserve the integrity of bathroom tile and flooring, ensuring they remain in good condition for years to come.

4. Prevention of Odor Build-Up

Another unpleasant consequence of inadequate ventilation in bathrooms is the build-up of foul odors. Without proper airflow, odors from toiletries, cleaning products, and waste can linger in the air, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. Proper ventilation helps in expelling these odors, keeping your bathroom fresh and inviting. This is particularly important in bathrooms with vanities where various grooming and hygiene products are stored, as these can contribute to odor accumulation if not adequately ventilated.

Prevention Methods Description
Ventilation Fan Install a ventilation fan in the bathroom to effectively expel stale air and odors outside, promoting fresh airflow and reducing odor build-up.
Natural Ventilation Utilize windows and doors to facilitate natural airflow and ventilation in the bathroom, allowing odors to dissipate and fresh air to circulate.
Odor Absorbing Materials Place bowls of baking soda or activated charcoal in the bathroom to absorb and neutralize odors, keeping the air fresh and eliminating unpleasant smells.
Air Purifiers Use air purifiers equipped with activated carbon filters to neutralize odors and improve air quality in the bathroom, creating a fresher environment.
Proper Storage  Store toiletries, cleaning products, and waste bins in well-ventilated areas or cabinets with adequate airflow to prevent odors from accumulating in the bathroom.
Regular Cleaning Routine Maintain a regular cleaning schedule for the bathroom, including the vanity area, to remove odors and prevent them from lingering on surfaces.
Fragrance Diffusers Use fragrance diffusers or air fresheners with natural scents to mask any lingering odors and keep the bathroom smelling pleasant and inviting.

5. Reduction of Humidity-Related Issues

Excessive humidity in bathrooms not only promotes mold and mildew growth but also creates discomfort for occupants. High humidity levels can make the bathroom feel stuffy and oppressive, impacting your comfort and well-being. Proper ventilation helps reduce humidity levels by expelling moist air and allowing fresh air to circulate, creating a more pleasant and comfortable environment for both residents and guests. Additionally, maintaining optimal humidity levels through proper ventilation can also prevent issues such as warped wood, peeling paint, and damp towels, further enhancing the longevity and aesthetics of your bathroom space.

6. Preservation of Paint and Finishes

Proper ventilation is also crucial for preserving the paint and finishes applied to bathroom walls and vanities. High humidity levels can cause paint to peel, blister, or discolor over time, detracting from the aesthetic appeal of your bathroom. Similarly, finishes applied to vanity surfaces can degrade prematurely in a moist environment, requiring frequent refinishing or replacement. By ensuring proper ventilation, you can protect these surfaces and maintain the visual appeal of your bathroom space.

7. Prevention of Structural Damage

In addition to cosmetic issues, inadequate ventilation in bathrooms can also lead to structural

damage over time. Moisture accumulation can compromise the structural integrity of walls, ceilings, and floors, leading to rot, decay, and even structural failure in severe cases. Proper ventilation helps mitigate these risks by removing excess moisture from the air, safeguarding the structural integrity of your bathroom, and preventing costly repairs down the line.

8. Enhancement of Indoor Air Quality

Last but not least, proper ventilation plays a crucial role in enhancing indoor air quality in your bathroom. Stagnant, humid air can become a breeding ground for bacteria, mold, and other allergens, posing health risks to occupants, especially those with respiratory issues. By promoting air circulation and expelling pollutants, proper ventilation helps in maintaining a clean and healthy indoor environment, promoting the well-being of everyone who uses the bathroom.

Conclusion

Proper ventilation is essential for maintaining a healthy, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing bathroom environment, particularly around bathroom vanities. By controlling moisture, preventing odors, preserving materials, and enhancing indoor air quality, adequate ventilation ensures that your bathroom remains a functional and inviting space for years to come. Whether you’re renovating an existing bathroom or designing a new one, don’t overlook the importance of proper ventilation for your bathroom vanities and the overall well-being of your home.

7 Things You Need to Know Before Hiring a Dog Trainer

Before hiring a dog trainer, you want to make sure they’re the right fit for you and your dog. With these seven tips, you can find that perfect fit and start training…

The newest member of your family is super cute but needs to be trained. Here’s everything you need to know before hiring a dog trainer.

Whether your new dog barks at the mailman or isn’t potty trained yet, a little misbehavior is normal—at first. As time goes on, however, you’ll likely want to train your dog to behave, regardless of the situation. A well-trained dog will know how to act around strangers in any environment, which can make your life a little easier as a result.

There are about 14,340 dog trainers in the country. And it can seem like there are nearly that many options when it comes to finding the right trainer.

You can Board and Train, or have the trainer come to your home, or take your dog to a school or private trainer, so how do you choose the right dog training for your dog?

Here are seven things you need to know before hiring a dog trainer.

With this guide, you’ll have the peace of mind you’re making the right choice for your dog and yourself. Find a personal dog trainer with these seven tips!

1. Determine Their Education & Experience

When trying to select a dog trainer, the first step is to determine their education. For example, have they completed a professional dog training program before? There are many high-quality programs available for dog trainers today.

If they completed an online course, make sure to ask if they had a hands-on externship as well. Training alongside a local affiliate trainer of the program can provide them with valuable in-person education. Perhaps the dog trainer attended an in-person training retreat or submitted a video for their training review instead.

Dog training is a hands-on skill. As a result, it’s important you choose a trainer who has more than simple “book smarts.” Instead, you want to choose a trainer who has received an evaluation of their skillset.

However, you don’t necessarily need to exclude someone who hasn’t completed a formal dog training program.

Many dog trainers learn through self-education or hands-on experience with other trainers. Some of these trainers are working toward a certification or to become a member of a professional organization.

2. Check for Professional Certifications or Memberships

If a dog trainer does have certification, it indicates they’ve invested time and money to prove they have the necessary skills for the job. There are numerous dog training certifications available, such as:

Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed
Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge & Skills Assessed
Certified Behavior Consultant Canine – Knowledge Assessed
Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner
Certified Dog Behavior Consultant
Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist

Check to see if the dog trainer has a membership to a professional organization as well. If they do, it indicates they hold themselves to a higher standard than required by law for legal dog trainers.

Memberships provide dog trainers with additional educational opportunities. These can include journals, conferences, and online forums. Some organizations also require members to follow humane, science-based methods for training.

These organizations can include:

Association of Animal Behavior Professionals
Association of Professional Dog Trainers
International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants

Finding a dog trainer with a professional certification or membership is a great start to your search. However, this doesn’t guarantee the trainer doesn’t rely on aversive training or outdated philosophies.

3. Consider the Training Methods They Use

There are approximately 76,811,305 dogs in the United States. Unfortunately, not every dog receives proper training. When looking for a dog trainer, make sure to consider the training philosophy they follow and the methods they use.

First, your trainer shouldn’t put your dog in a situation that could cause bad behavior. Instead, they should focus on how your dog should behave to replace that unwanted behavior.

A dog trainer should show your dog how to behave and stop unwanted behaviors from occurring again.

Dogs often misbehave because they’re trying to get something they want.

For example, some dogs jump on people because they want attention. A dog trainer can teach your dog to greet people with all four paws on the form instead. To accomplish this, a dog trainer might stop giving your dog attention when they jump.

Positive reinforcement and force-free training will reward your dog’s good behaviors and prevent bad behaviors from reoccurring.

4. Do They Have a Guarantee?

A professional dog trainer shouldn’t offer a guarantee that they can change your dog’s behavior. Dogs are animals, not machines. They behave based on their own experiences and motivations.

A dog trainer can’t guarantee their training program will work.

In some cases, a trainer will only end up temporarily fixing a dog’s unwanted behavior by suppressing it. These trainers often fail to address and treat the behavior instead.

If a trainer guarantees they have a fix, consider someone else.

5. What Types of Cases Do They Refer Out?

Not every dog trainer is capable of handling every case. In some instances, a trainer might instead refer a case to someone with a higher level of experience.

In these cases, one trainer might shadow another to learn how to approach these instances in the future.

A trainer might also refer you to someone who specializes in your dog’s specific needs instead. This is a good sign that the trainer understands their own limitations and wants to provide you and your dog with the best service possible.

6. Do They Make Learning Fun?

Take the time to observe the dog trainer in action. Ask if you can watch a group training class. This will give you a better idea about their abilities and training style.

Dog training isn’t only for dogs, but their owners as well.

Do you feel like the dog trainer provided easy-to-understand explanations? Did they make the training enjoyable for the dogs and owners?

The more fun you both have, the easier and faster you and your dog will learn.

7. Ask for Referrals

Once you’ve narrowed down your list, as the dog trainer if you can speak with their previous clients. Positive word of mouth will give you peace of mind. That way, you’ll know you’re making the best possible choice for you and your dog.

Barcelona in Summer, Perfect Itinerary for 48 Hours

If you are like us, sometimes you just need a quick getaway from the daily grind, and maybe even more so in the summer. We were thinking about this very thing just the other day and came up with a great idea, Barcelona!

Yes, Barcelona is practically perfect for a weekend escape. The city’s amazing array of attractions are almost all near the center and easy enough to get to by metro, bus, taxi, or even walking as long as we stay in the central part of town.

So first things first, we need to find the ultimate hotel for our adventure. And since it is summer, we really wanted to find a hotel with pool in Poblenou Barcelona. With that in mind, I don’t think that we could do better than the ILUNION Barcelona Hotel.

They have a pool, and not just any pool, a rooftop hideaway with unbelievable views of the city. This is absolutely the best place in town to relax after a day of sightseeing and take in an unforgettable sunset.

Speaking of sightseeing, in order to see as much as possible in our two day whirlwind weekend we need to plan an itinerary. That way we won’t waste any time. We decided to make two lists of the most important places, one with our “must-see” attractions, and another with our “if we have time to see them” ideas.

Must-see items of course include the most amazing cathedral we have ever seen, Sagrada Familia. Without a doubt this is the crowning glory of architect and designer Antoni Gaudí’s exceptional career and no trip to Barcelona could be considered complete without a visit.

The church is also ever changing because it is not finished. So even though we have seen it before, we are always excited to see it again.

While we are on the subject of Antoni Gaudí, we would also include his fanciful Park Güell on our must-see list. His whimsical and innovative creations are scattered around the more than forty five acres of beautiful green space and make for a lovely respite right in the middle of the bustling city.

Another must-see attraction, at least in our eyes, is La Rambla. This broad boulevard with a pedestrian walkway in the middle serves as the main street of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. There is a ton of history to take in along the nearly one mile walk, but we think the most fun is watching the astonishing street performers, especially the human statues.

Just off the main street there are a few places worthy of a slight detour. First is the Palau Güell, another of Gaudí’s best works, and across La Ramble a few blocks away is the Plaça de George Orwell, which commemorates the great writer’s time spent in Barcelona.

We also highly recommend a quick look inside, or even a bite to eat at the Mercat de la Boqueria. This is the place to find spectacular tapas. Nearby, the Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi is also definitely worth a visit.

The walk ends at Plaça de Catalunya, where at least a dozen trains and busses, along with unlimited taxis, make it super easy to get on to the next destination.

This certainly looks like enough to fill a couple days, but in case we have some time left our “hope we have time” list will include a few more of Gaudí’s buildings such as Casa Vicens, Casa Milá, and Casa Batlló. And hopefully we can find time to include Montjuïc Castle as well.

We would like to remind everybody that all of this can be done without breaking the bank, because when you search for budget hotels in Barcelona it doesn’t necessarily mean you will need to sacrifice service, luxury, amenities, or comfort while getting a great price on a room.

Oh, and one more thing, don’t worry about what to do with your pets while you’re away. They are always welcome at ILUNION Barcelona since it is perhaps the most pet friendly hotel in Barcelona. There is even a bed, drinking fountain, and food bowl right in the room, along with a WELCOME KIT of treats and a toy for their enjoyment waiting to greet your furry family member.

Who knows, your pet may even enjoy the vacation as much as you.
