Fake Volumes in Cryptocurrency Markets

In March 2019, American crypto investment manager Bitwise published a stunning paper. It claimed that 95% of reported volumes by crypto exchanges were fake.

Sourcing information from one of the biggest crypto trackers, CoinMarketCap (CMC), the document stated that the website includes a large amount of suspect data.

One main focus of the analysts was the comparison of actual vs. reported volume of different cryptocurrency exchanges. To make the most relevant data easier to understand, take a look at the following infographic:

Click to see the large Infographic made by Paybis exchange.

Why are crypto exchanges exaggerating volume?

The trading volume exaggeration has multiple reasons to exist:

  1. Simulate high liquidity – high trading volume creates the illusion of liquidity. When exchanges are small and illiquid, no one wants to trade on them. So, exchanges report inflated volumes to attract more traders.
  2. Entice media attention – Top exchanges on market cap aggregators like CMC gain a lot of weight in the media. This attention appeals to new users, as fake volumes advertise them as legit and popular platforms.
  3. Justify high listing fees – The false popularity allows these exchanges to demand high fees listing of new cryptocurrencies. These often number in millions of dollars, hence the incentive to inflate volume numbers.

So, what can be done?

Fighting the problem

We can argue that CoinMarketCap is partly to blame for fake volumes and the way they are reported. Fortunately, the problem wasn’t ignored and the website has established new measures to fight the phenomenon.

In November 2019, CMC introduced a new “Liquidity” metric to address the widespread spoof orders throughout the crypto markets. By filtering exchanges based on liquidity, users can gauge the activity of exchanges in a more reliable manner.

While this should be seen as a step forward to more transparency in the cryptocurrency market, there’s still a lot of work to be done.

The “Bitwise 10”

The cryptocurrency market is still largely unregulated. With more than 300 different exchanges around the world that are aggregated on CMC, it seems impossible to regulate them all.

However, Bitwise has singled out 10 exchanges that, according to their analysis, provide real trading volume. You can see these exchanges in the infographic shown above. There’s a silver lining connecting these “Top 10” exchanges and why their volume should be considered legit over others.

All exchanges in the report are registered Money Services Business with FinCEN, except for Binance.

Moreover, six out of the ten are operating on US soil, and five out of those have a Bitlicense. This business license issued by the New York State Department of Financial Services shows that these exchanges comply with high regulatory standards.

Finally, most of these exchanges have raised significant venture capital or are owned by large, established companies. Their senior-executives are well-known and they all hold offices in large metropolitan areas.

Conclusion

While fake volumes are still an issue, the crypto market has significantly evolved since the crazy 2017 altcoin boom.

Fraudulent actions are decreasing as regulating bodies like the CFTC take more drastic measures against perpetrators. At the same time, ephemerous ICOs are far and few between, which raises the trust levels of investors in the market.

Even Bitwise states in their paper that the Bitcoin market, in particular, has matured and is a much safer asset today.

Websites like CMC following suit and increasing accuracy in reporting volumes are a step closer towards a more transparent crypto world. And finally, the general awareness increase of cryptocurrency users will ultimately lead to a safer and more reliable market.

Groom’s Guide for Wedding Planning

Generally, weddings are taken as an all girls affair, and most of us assume that grooms are indifferent to their weddings. In fact, groom is one of the core planners of his weddings. Without groom’s approval and suggestions, the other half cannot plan wisely.

In this guide we will discuss, what a groom ought to do for making his wedding day the best day of his life. Many of us still think, that our parents are the only responsible group for our weddings, now things have changed drastically, new we are independent.

There are a lot of things, involved in wedding, the first thing is the decision making, if you have not made exact decision for each and everything which is going to happen at your wedding then you may get into serious trouble, you may need to change the dates, so decide as early as possible.

Two decades ago, people used to get married quite early, that is why parents tend to support the groom and bride for planning their wedding days. Now, things are quite different and the trend of getting married in early twenties has perished away, now men usually marry when they are in their 30s. That is why once you have sent your elopement announcement; people will start assuming your caliber regarding your wedding.

However, no matter how much money a groom has got, still he would be nervous about the planning of his wedding especially if he wanted to make his big day an excitingly refreshing day for the guests as well.

Here are some tips, which can help you make your wedding day a great day.

1.    Decide your team

If you think that you are going to have some big events then, you must make sure that you are not doing it alone. So first read this about how to pick groomsmen. Then contact your best friends, and family members and assign them some works.

Hold a meeting with them and get some nice ideas and suggestions about your big day’s planning. Try to involve some married persons as well. They can advice you quite well.

2.    Budget

Without a decided budget you cannot decide where are you heading, you must follow the traditions set by your fathers. However, while following to the cultural traditions, you must stay as realistic as possible. you are not supposed to go bankrupt right after your marriage.

Keep in mind the upcoming responsibilities, and then decide the budget. Try to avoid bank loans as they can be very annoying, when you will be married with 100 more responsibilities.

3.    Write the vows

This can be very impressive for your spouse; you must decide which things you can do for your spouse and which you cannot.

Then create a vow list, practice them one month before the wedding. So that you must not forget any of it. the reason for emphasizing this part is the importance of this culture.

The point of marriage is to assure people and the spouse that you will help them in the upcoming matters of life, so saying all those things in front of the world will be the best thing to do on your wedding day.

4.    Your look

Of course, you must look good inside out on your wedding. Get a great dress, contact your prospective spouse and ask them what color you must wear. Together you can decide the best dresses for both of you.

Secondly, contact the hairdresser and negotiate the prices for your wedding day haircut. For grooms the dress must be as simple and minimal as possible, follow th trends but, decide according to your taste, each soul knows what is going to suit him.

5.    The registry and honeymoon

Do not forget these two things. If you have not done it before sending invitations, then you may fall into serious trouble. many companies offer special services and discounts for new wedding registry.

Try to do it as early as possible, most probably at the day when you have started sending invitations.

6.    Buying gifts

Last thing to do is to buy gifts for the groom’s men. If they are your friends then you can ask them about their choice, but make sure that they are according to the level of your wedding day. Do not take them for granted.

Gifting groomsmen is a sign of showing your admiration for the hard work and efforts put in by the groomsmen. It’s very important that you select the gifts for groomsmen with care so they remember them for a lifetime.

Australia’s Desert Cave Hotel provides the ultimate and most exotic igaming experience!

Australia has tremendous diversity in its landscape. However, despite that, there’s one particular thing which all Australians enjoy – gambling. It’s their love for gambling only that while the entire world refers to slot machines as slots, Aussies call them pokies!

There are around 20 brick and mortar casinos down under, apart from hundreds of small size bars, pubs and other venues equipped with pokies machines. In fact, anywhere you go in Australia, you are guaranteed to find a place to try your luck. But, there is none that can match the uniqueness of the Desert Cave Hotel!

Known for its peace and quiet

Desert Cave Hotel is situated at a distance of 800 km from Adelaide, in Coober Pedy. It’s a fascinating and strange mining town well known for underground habitats. Several years ago, Umberto Coro, a native of Coober Pedy wanted the world to learn about their underground living practice, and decided to construct Desert Cave Hotel to do just that. Unfortunately, he couldn’t live to see the realisation of this vision. He passed away in a tragic road accident, in the year 1986. Robert, his son made his father’s dream a reality and officially opened the hotel in 1988.

The construction of this hotel was an extremely challenging task considering the windy conditions and the harsh terrain. Nevertheless, the hard work paid off and the Desert Cave Hotel won National as well as South Australian Tourism awards for Tourism Development in 1989. Thereafter, it went on to win the South Australian Tourism award in recognition of its national standard accommodation in 1990 and 91.

Pokies down under

Desert Cave Hotel has been designed in a manner that visitors are free to choose whether they’d like to stay underground or above ground. Going underground is what is preferred by many, as the underground rooms are carved out from rock and stone. There is an indescribable calmness, quiet and peace in the structure underground, which is well-talked-about by people who have stayed here. Many remember their stay here as the best night’s sleep they’ve ever had. Other than that, it also offers an underground gaming room, an underground café and underground shops.

People fond of playing casino games can enjoy an altogether different type of casino gaming experience here. It’s not without reason that this hotel is known to offer one of the most exotic gambling experiences to the world. However, as the purpose of this hotel is to provide something novel and unique to the players, don’t expect a gambling facility like you see in Las Vegas!

Theirs is a humble gambling venue which has been carved out from the rock. There are 16 pokies machines and a bar. The high roof along with dim lighting provides a wonderful effect. Although there aren’t many casino games to play here, one is guaranteed to remember the experience of spinning slot reels at such unique gambling place for a very long time!

2020 Cheltenham Festival Ladies Day Rewind

Day two of this year’s Cheltenham Festival – also known as Ladies Day – didn’t disappoint. A couple of the favourites went on to win, helping punters recuperate from a disappointing Champions Day, however there were also a couple more upsets to be had, adding the to the thrills of the Prestbury Park meeting.

If you’re looking for horse racing results & today’s meetings, or just wanting to relive a classic Cheltenham outing, then read on!

Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle (Grade One)

Heavy odds-on favourite Envoi Allen – trained by Gordon Elliott – looked to be out of the running as he turned the last bend onto the home straight, six lengths behind Easywork and The Big Getaway, but he somehow found some gas in his reserve to push into the lead over the last hurdle with Davy Russell powering him on to win by just over four lengths.

“He’s a very nice horse and as long as he keeps winning I’m happy,” the Irish trainer said afterwards.

  1. Envoi Allen 4/7F
  2. Easywork 12/1
  3. The Big Getaway 9/1

Novices’ Chase (Grade One)

Another horse to come from behind, and win in spectacular fashion, was Champ – named after the legendary jockey Sir Anthony McCoy – who was worryingly error prone throughout, making mistake at most hurdles. As pace-setters Minella Indo and Allaho turned for home, Champ was 10 lengths adrift. However, jockey Barry Geraghty forged an amazing comeback and slipped in-between the front-runners to steal the Novices’ Chase from under their noses.

“It didn’t look very likely to happen, did it? It looked like he was going to be an honourable third – I was watching the front two and all of a sudden he appeared in the picture. I was thinking, ‘how has he got here?’” trainer Nicky Henderson said.

  1. Champ 4/1
  2. Minella Indo 3/1
  3. Allaho 5/2F

Handicap Hurdle (Grade Thee)

Market favourite Dame De Compagnie went on to win, to add to Henderson and Geraghty’s amazing start to the Festival. The seven-year-old was always in contention throughout the race, and narrowly led on the run-in, before holding off Elliott-trained Black Tears by just over two lengths.

“She won well. We didn’t go much of a gallop, and I was happy to be just behind the pace once she was relaxed.

“She picked up from the back of the last. It was a good performance,” the jockey said.

  1. Dame De Compagnie 5/1F
  2. Black Tears 12/1
  3. Thosedaysaregone 10/1
  4. Cracking Smart 33/1

Queen Mother Champion Chase (Grade One)

Defi Du Seuil – who was 2/5 favourite – was the one to beat in the absence of Altior and Chacun Pour Soi. However, the market leader never got into the race and 6/1 outsider Prolitologue, ridden by Harry Skelton, led from start to finish to land trainer Paul Nicholls his first Festival win of the year.

“The tactics were great, it was awesome. I looked in the paddocks before and I thought Politologue was a standout, and I’m just pleased we stuck to the plan and kept him fresh and fit,” the trainer said.

  1. Politologue 6/1
  2. Dynamite Dollars 7/1
  3. Bun Doran 33/1

Glenfarclas Chase (A Cross Country Chase)

Gordon Elliott’s Tiger Roll was hoping to land a third successive Cross Country Chase at the Festival, although 3/1 shot Easysland had other ideas. The six-year-old beat the two-time Grand National winner – whose odds have since drifted for a third-successive win at Aintree – by an outstanding 17 lengths, whilst Tiger Roll also ran impressively despite finishing second – an impressive 18 lengths ahead of Out Sam.

“I was expecting a good run from him. He seemed really well at home, his coat had changed, he was in good form and it was a really big advantage to have come here in December and to know the track. The heavy ground was also in his favour,” Easysland’s trainer David Cotton said.

  1. Easysland 3/1
  2. Tiger Roll 8/11F
  3. Out Sam 33/1

Juvenile Handicap Hurdle (Grade Three)

As heavily backed favourite Palladium – who was never in contention – pulled-up halfway through the race, all eyes turned to the front-runners. And it was Elliott-trained Aramax at 15/2 who held-off David Pipe’s Night Edition – who was applying the pressure. The win also marked jockey Mark Walsh’s first victory of the week.

  1. Aramax 15/2
  2. Night Edition 16/1
  3. Saint D’oroux 14/1
  4. Recent Revelations 14/1

There are few things more unpleasant than what terror can cause in you, especially if it derives from some experience that you know you will never forget. There is something in my head that will remain there and it is the most terrifying haunted house I could have ever seen in my life.

Many people may think that I am exaggerating but the truth is that the idea we all have of a haunted house like the one we see in amusement parks is not even remotely similar to what we can live in real life.

This haunted house is located in the suburbs of Bucharest. I bought it because its owners were selling it at a good price and the property seemed quite large so it fit my budget perfectly. At first glance, it was a nice and quiet place but things changed a bit when I started living there. Since then, recovering my peace became one of the biggest challenges I had to face.

What happened?

As I mentioned earlier, I bought a house in the name suburbs some time ago. Everything seemed to be going well until I had to spend the first night there. From day one, I could hear a lot of strange and creepy noises, things moving, and loud steps, as if someone were walking around. And that does not compare to the bunch of strange things that happened inside; my belongings were changing places, the lights were blinking, there were huge and terrifying shadows surrounding every corner… it was totally scary.

Every night that passed, I felt more and more fear. But I did not want to lose my house, so I decided to do a little research to find out what was going on. The information I found was very strange. The records spoke of a lot of different families who, year after year, came and went from that house. From what I could see, there was not a group of people that would last there for a long time.

I kept investigating it. I talked to some people, asked the closest neighbors… and what I found out later was even worse. There was a strange story of a ghost that had taken over the house a good time ago and was dedicated to frightening all the people who set foot inside it. I panicked. I didn’t know what to do to be able to feel calm and fearless in that place, so I started looking for a solution.

How I fixed it?

Finally, I glimpsed the possibility. I spoke with a clairsentient online that a friend of mine told me about. After a couple of talks on the Internet, he decided to come to my house and get that awful ghost out of there. I was not sure I could do it but I felt desperate and I did not know what else to try. Thankfully, it worked.

The power of the clairsentient.

Clairsentience is a form of empathy that manifests itself in a very powerful way. This ability helps them connect with the vibrations of various elements, including inanimate objects and places.

As a result of this, this amazing man was able to get that ghost out of my house. His clairsentience helped him to understand what was happening inside my property and to find the way in which that evil presence was connected to my home so he could get rid of it completely.

I am very happy. Thanks to him, I can now sleep peacefully and the peace I dreamed of has returned to my home. Being in my house is no longer as scary as before and I can spend quiet nights without feeling fear or terror. My life has totally changed because of clairsentience.

Checked Baggage: What You Can Pack And What You Can’t

When it comes to traveling, there are a lot of rules to be aware of. Honestly, it is hard to keep up sometimes. Checked bags and carry on luggage rules are a constant source of confusion.

Not least of which is the fact that the norms are always changing. And, in addition to the things we aren’t allowed to bring on board or in our checked baggage, there are things that we should avoid even when allowed.

For instance, you are allowed to pack your medication in your checked bag, but it isn’t a good idea in case your luggage doesn’t make it to your destination. When coming back, maybe you have your eyes set on those kukri knives from your trip to Nepal. And yes, you can actually pack those in your checked bags.

In this article, we will focus on your checked bags and what you can and cannot pack during your trip.

Vaping and smoking gear

You are allowed to take your vape pen or mod box with you on board in your carry on. But you cannot pack it in your checked bags.

Since the lithium batteries are quite powerful and have been known to explode, they aren’t allowed to be in a bag in the cargo of the plane in case something happens. Even if it doesn’t explode, the change in pressure could cause them to leak and damage your bag and others.

In addition to that, no lighters are allowed in either the checked bags or your carry on. Matches can be brought in your carry on but not your checked bag.

Firearms and self defense weapons

You can actually check your weapons in your baggage. Obviously, you can’t bring your gun or knives in your carry on, but you are allowed to check them.

There are restrictions, however. Ammunition has to be packed separately from your firearm in a box made of fiber, wood or any other material that is designed for ammunition specifically.

Guns have to be packed in a hard sided box and unloaded. You have to declare this at check in. Not all airlines allow this even though it is allowed by the TSA. Not only that, but you have to be aware of the local laws in the area where you are traveling as there may be restrictions.

Food and alcohol

When you are traveling internationally, you can’t bring many types of food. Any fresh fruit or vegetables, plus plants are not allowed. Even domestically if you are traveling to Hawaii.

Coming back from abroad means you can’t bring meat products and cheeses have to be vacuum sealed. You can bring back alcohol as long as it isn’t above 140 proof.

What you can pack but shouldn’t

Since checked bags can get lost, you shouldn’t pack anything you will need when you reach your destination. Besides medication, don’t pack any IDs like passports or driver’s license, tablets, cell phones or laptops and anything of value like jewelry and cameras.

Travelling to gamble- A new trend in 2020

As we move into uncertain times where people all around the globe are being asked to stay home, it’s easy to start thinking of the future. Planning holidays is a particularly exciting pastime, and it’s likely that many people are doing this while being stuck inside for lockdown. They might be making Pinterest moodboards, looking at flights or even watching travel vlogs on YouTube.

After all, traveling can be incredibly rewarding and spiritually fulfilling. As you’ll know, here at The Gypsy Nesters, we’re lucky enough to have been on some fascinating trips all over the world. Going to new countries is a great way to learn new things, meet new people and develop more as a person. Every person will have their own

One reason for traveling that’s particularly rising to prominence in the community right now is gambling. As the gambling world grows with each year, more and more people are starting to find joy in making gaming the focus of their traveling. But why do they do this? And what do you need to know about it beforehand? That’s what we’ll be looking at today.

In this blog post, we’ll be going over the gambling holiday trend as a whole. We’ll be taking a look at why people choose to travel for gambling, what people should do before they head out on a gambling holiday and some great places to head to for gaming adventures.

Why do people travel to gamble?

To start off with, it’s worth noting that there are just as many reasons for gambling holidays as there are reasons for holidays themselves. After all, there are many different types of people who enjoy gambling, and many different forms of gambling to enjoy. It’s a very diverse industry, with games to suit everyone regardless of their personal interests.

There are a few standout reasons why people might travel for gambling;

  •     They travel for tournaments. It doesn’t matter whether you’re talking about traditional gambling games like poker or eSports games like League of Legends, there are countless tournaments being held all across the world. Gaming and eSports tournaments are particularly huge right now with the younger crowd.

As a result, there are often hordes of people who travel to attend tournaments. They might be going to compete, or simply going to view the tournament and to meet other gambling fans at the event.

  •     They may be traveling to find legal gambling. Unfortunately, gambling is not yet fully legalized everywhere. There are still plenty of places all around the world where people do not have the opportunity to gamble, so they head to other countries or states to meet their gambling needs. A great example of this is New Jersey receiving business from New York gamblers, as laid out in this article.
  •     Gambling resorts are incredibly luxurious. Some people who don’t necessarily enjoy gambling will still head to gambling resorts and hotels. This may seem counter-intuitive, but the resorts and hotels that gambling companies provide are often touted as being of the highest caliber imaginable.

Las Vegas is a pretty good example of this. It’s an iconic hub for gambling and plays host to some of the most impressive hotels and resorts in America. There are plenty of other amazing things to enjoy in Vegas, ranging from tourist attractions to drag shows.

Of course, this list is not exclusive. Just as there is a wide range of gamblers and games in the world, there is a wide range of reasons why people will set their sights on a gambling holiday.

What should people do before a gambling holiday?

Before heading out on a gambling holiday, it’s vital that you set yourself spending limits and place holds on your funds where need be. This may seem over the top, but it’s worth putting these protections in place just in case. It’s very easy to get carried away with gambling, especially if you’re enjoying a holiday.

Another important step to take is to make sure that you know the local laws on gambling for your destination, to keep yourself safe. Do they allow internet gambling, for example? What are you allowed and not allowed to do? Researching these topics may not be the most interesting part of your holiday preparation, but it’s much better to be safe rather than sorry.`

Great states and countries to check out for gambling

There are some incredible places to visit for gambling fans. If you’re in the States, some of the best places to visit include New Jersey, Las Vegas, and Nevada. These states offer fully legal gambling, and there are a number of different game styles to enjoy.

If you’re looking for another country to head to, Germany, England and South Africa are all known for having some of the best casinos in the world to visit and explore.

To sum up

As you can see, gambling holidays are incredibly popular right now- and with good reason.

No matter if a person is looking for a luxurious getaway, an adrenaline-filled weekend or simply a night in a different city to get away from it all, there will be the perfect style of gaming holiday and gambling hotspot to suit their every need.

It’s worth reiterating the point about checking the legality of gambling in your chosen destination before you get there. Make sure to plan your trip and understand the law accordingly, to make sure that you have the best time possible.
