Pick yourself up and get ready for some true Irish music. TradFest happens towards the end of January, with gigs and concerts all over Dublin in various different venues. You can fully immerse yourself in all that the Irish music scene has to offer. The festival runs from 22nd to 26th of January.
Sightseeing Never Bores
You don’t need to rely on organized festivals and happenings to have a great time in Dublin. Dublin is an incredibly lively city. You can easily make your own itinerary and have some great fun. There are bus tours that leave from Dublin which will take you on a wee road trip to see more of Ireland. You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to pubs. Select a traditional Irish pub in Temple Bar, like Bad Bobs, and you’re guaranteed to have a great time. They have a stunning roof top bar, ideal for when you need a break and want to enjoy a dram. Maybe even enjoy a bite to eat. The Guinness Museum is always a great stop too to learn more about the famous beer and its history.
You can also get artsy if that’s more your scene. Take your pick from the Museum of Natural History, Museum of Archaeology, Museum of Art & History, The Little Museum of Dublin, or even the National Library of Dublin. With so many options, there’s something to suit every taste and interest. Some museums do charge an admission fee, whereas others might be free. So, if you’re visiting Dublin on a budget, make sure to check to avoid paying more than you’ve budgeted for.
