Should a Tourist Rent a Car? Pros and Cons

Travelling abroad has become an inevitable part of life for most modern people. Someone prefers to travel with “all-inclusive” – without the need to make any decisions, and take responsibility for the planning. One simply chooses a tour and enjoys his or her holiday, contemplating new and interesting places and being told about the history and places of interest by a travel guide. Today, however, more and more tourists are choosing a different way, not willing to depend on a well-defined plan. Travellers prefer to create their own trail, exploring the country ‘from within’, independent of the moods and routines of tour groups.

Some tourists can’t imagine their life without a steering wheel and a road or want to visit more than one city at a time. For those who like to travel by car, we have collected some tips and analyzed the pros and cons of renting a car abroad.

These days there are car rental agencies in almost all cities in the world. There are also international major rental companies such as Avis, Hertz, or Europcar. But if you want to rent a special car, you’d better choose a private local agency like https://renty.ae/. To rent a car you should have at least one or two years of driving experience (different countries have their own requirements) and hold an international driving license. And you should have some money for rent, deposit, and fuel fee.

The procedure of rent-a-car registration is very simple and fast – you get keys from the car and freedom of movement in the new country after spending half an hour in a rent agency.

Rent a car abroad: why hire a car?

Simple registration is not the only advantage. Let’s consider what are the pros of renting a car:

    • Freedom of movement without depending on other people’s time and routines;
    • No hustle and bustle and crowds of people near the main attractions — because you can choose a time when there are fewer tourists.
    • A new country becomes closer to you as if you are a part of its life rather than a black sheep in tour buses.
    • You can visit several neighbouring countries all under the same visa regime in one trip.
    • You can choose people to be with you who are pleasant and interesting to you. The number of misunderstandings and conflicts is reduced. And for people who prefer solitude and do not like the noise and crowds — this is probably the most comfortable way to travel.

Disadvantages of renting a car abroad

Of course, this method of traveling to a new country has some disadvantages as well as everything in this life:

    • If the driver is alone — he has to concentrate on the road, watch the traffic, learn the roads new and unexplored. There is no opportunity to relax and look at the scenery of the new country.
    • To feel oneself confidently at the wheel in various road situations — one must have a rather long experience of driving and a strong nervous system.
    • It is not possible to drink alcoholic beverages while driving until you get to the car park of the chosen hotel.

Some tips for drivers

It’s a good idea to check the road map of the country you are going to in advance, while you are still in your home country.

It is of course advisable to plan your route, mark the mandatory stops and upload the navigator and maps to your mobile phone or tablet. Some car rental agencies will offer you a car with an integrated GPS navigator right away – this is a useful and handy option.

Also, think about what accessories will make the trip more comfortable and easier – whether it’s your favorite music, a pillow for your neck, or a flask of water — familiar and convenient things will make the trip more comfortable and easier. It’s worth making a list of things you’ll need in advance. Have a great trip!

Vaping for Beginners: A First Timer’s Guide to E-Cigarettes

In recent years, e-cigarettes have become more popular. It’s a common sight to see people vaping. It has now become an alternative to cigarettes for persons who seek to reap its benefits.

If you currently smoke cigarettes and want to switch to e-cigarettes read this guide. This is the ultimate guide on vaping for beginners. It will teach you everything you’ll need to know about vaping.

Vaping for Beginners – Let’s Start

Have you decided to switch from cigarettes to e-cigarettes? Congratulations! You have made a great choice.

An e-cigarette, or vape, is a battery-powered device that heats e-liquid, or e-juice. This liquid contains nicotine, flavoring, and other ingredients. Once the e-cigarette heats the e-liquid, the user can inhale it as a vapor.

To use an e-cigarette, you’ll need to know its components. In this device, you’ll find an atomizer. This part contains a coil that vaporizes the e-liquid.

Depending on the type of e-cigarette device, the atomizer will work if you inhale or press a button. This will create a vapor.

This is a major difference between cigarettes and vaping. An e-cigarette creates a vapor. While it resembles smoke, it’s not smoke, so it’s one reason why many people vape inside.

An e-cigarette will contain a battery. It provides the e-cigarette with power. You can recharge it various times before having to replace it.

A tank stores the e-liquid. Its size varies. You can think about it like a gas tank that needs to be refilled.

Keeping Your E-Cigarette Working

After you have bought your e-cigarette you can start vaping away. To keep vaping without issues, you’ll need to know how to maintain your device.

To prolong the life of your e-cigarette you will need to stay on top of the coil. The coil does not last forever. You will have to change it as needed.

The frequency of the coil change is determined by its usage, as well as the type of e-liquid used. With frequent use, the coils can burn out fast.

Be sure to be on the lookout for signs that signal a need for change. If you find that you have less vapor output, chances are you need to change the coil.

A change in the flavor of the e-liquid is another sign. If you get a burnt aftertaste, the coil needs to come out for a new one. As the coil needs to be changed every three days to two weeks, you’ll need to find a replacement coil.

Vaping Like a Professional

After reading this vaping for beginners guide, you can vape like a pro. You’ll find that an e-cigarette offers great benefits compared to cigarette smoking.

If you use an e-cigarette, you have to maintain it. Remember to keep track of the coil usage. It’s an important component of the device that needs to be replaced every so often.

Make Travel Times Fun With These Happening Ideas

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts; it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”              – Anthony Bourdain

As per a United Nations World Tourism Organization report, more than 1.5 billion people travel the world in a year. This number has ten folded by 56 times from past few years. The experts from the tourism industry expect to see a massive increase in the forthcoming years too.

Are you thinking about what is making people travel so often? Well, this is the result of people’s zeal for exploring new places and welcoming new memories in their lives. So, if you have been planning to visit a new travel destination and want to know more about the different ways to improve your travel times, you have come to the right destination.

Here’s how to keep up with your good travel times and make your collect memories at their best.

The combination of guitar and bonfire – If you happen to travel to a cool and happening travel spot like hills, don’t forget to carry a guitar and enough arrangements for a bonfire. This is the best time you could give to yourself. And if not guitar, carry a Bluetooth speaker and play your favorite tunes to add a melodious touch to your memories.

Games – When traveling with your friends and family, it is hard to miss your travel times on the entertainment value. Talking for hours over your family events’ old good and bad memories is fun but ordinary. Then why not consider playing some games to keep everyone’s happy spirits up? Go for quick and handy games like – playing cards, truth and dare, and much more.

Carry CBD – Most people correlate CBD with an illegal component. Whereas, when you wake up to the realities, you see a massive difference in both. CBD is a legal substance used for many medicinal properties. Many travelers love to consume it for the sake of getting rid of travel sickness and regaining energy levels. For this purpose, full spectrum cbd works the best as it contains a certain amount of THC as well. You can consume in many ways like oil, tincture, or capsule. The best time to consume CBD on a trip is when you feel the need to leave the travel chaos aside and relish the ambiance you are in.

Cooking equipment – Rather than carrying instant foods to survive, carry handy cooking utensils to enjoy home-cooked meals even when away from home. This is the best way to introduce fun activities to your travel time.

The concluding words –

Travel is all about exploring the unexplored while adding memories to your happy times. Be it the location or the way you capture it; many factors make a travel time the best you can wish for when collected.

Things You Need to Know Before Travel to Angeles City

Suppose you are traveling to the Philippines and want to experience the country a little differently, away from the many natural beauties. In that case, you cannot avoid making a detour to Angeles City, just under a hundred kilometers north of Metro Manila Luzon, the main island of the Philippines. Insiders call the city “Angeles” or “AC.” If you don’t have your car and if the taxi ride is too expensive, which usually costs around 2,500 pesos, the best way to get to Angeles City from Metro Manila is by bus. Air-conditioned buses run from the bus terminals in the Pasay City and Cubao districts. Victory Liner and Philtranco are the best-known bus companies that travel several times a day to Angeles City to the Dau bus terminal and Clark Airport. The modern buses are comfortably equipped and have entertainment systems, Wi-Fi internet, and toilets. The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) trip takes a few hours and costs between 150 and 300 pesos, depending on the type of bus you choose. In this article, we are going to discuss all the things you need to know before traveling to Angeles City. Cathay Pacific airline is one of the best airlines you can choose to travel with to Angeles city.

Tourists come here for the nightlife.

Angeles City is not a place that typical tourists visit. There are neither beaches nor beautiful landscapes or exciting sights. Apart from the few recreational opportunities built within the Clark Special Economic Zone on the site of the former US airbase and excursions to Mount Pinatubo, about 20 kilometers away, there is nothing that could interest a typical tourist. Instead, there is the Balibago district with well over 100 bars and clubs and numerous hotels and restaurants that have settled in the area around the center of nightlife. It’s the bars and clubs that open their doors after dark, attracting male visitors from Western countries and Korea and Japan.

Which areas are interesting for tourists?

Anyone who has ever been to Pattaya knows the many open-air bars that determine the nightlife. You hardly find this type of bar in Angeles at all. The indoor bars dominate here with so-called door girls in front of the door, who often loudly encourage passers-by to visit. Inside, pretty waitresses and dancers await the guests.

Field Avenue: Most go-go bars can be found along Fields Avenue. In the lower part in particular, which is closed off to through traffic in the evening and is reserved exclusively for pedestrians, you will find one bar next to the other. This part of Fields Avenue is also called “Streets.”

Perimeter: There are also numerous bars on Don Juico Perimeter Road, known as the Perimeter, and at the beginning of the many small side streets, they are no longer so closely packed. Especially in the upper area of the perimeter bars can only be found sporadically. If you are traveling alone, it is better to avoid this area late at night.

A Santos Street: A side street off Fields Avenue with numerous bars, but nowhere near as many as Fields Avenue itself.

SM Mall: A modern shopping center within sight of Fields Avenue with a department store and electronics shops, and many other shops and restaurants. One of the SM malls you can find in all major cities in the Philippines. Besides the Marquee Mall, which is located further out on the town’s outskirts, the SM Mall is the only place that offers a bit of a change from the rather monotonous happenings around Fields Avenue during the day.

Getting around Angeles City

It would be best if you only walked around Fields Avenue after dark. If you want to go anywhere else, be it to Perimeter Road or the hotel, if it is not near Fields Avenue, you should always use one available public transport for safety reasons. The main modes of transportation in Angeles are:

Tricycles: Tricycles, also called “Trike” for short, can be found everywhere in the Philippines, including Angeles. These are motorcycles that are equipped with a sidecar and can usually accommodate up to three passengers. However, it is not uncommon to see tricycles hopelessly overcrowded with passengers even sitting on the roof. To avoid unpleasant surprises, the fare should always be negotiated before starting the journey.

JeepneysJeepneys are probably the most popular form of public transportation in the Philippines. These have initially been jeeps that had their wheelbase lengthened and a new body fitted. There are two rows of seats that offer space for 8 to 10 people in the rear part, often more. The fare usually starts at 8 pesos. To get out, press the bell provided for this purpose. Due to the confinement that prevails in the jeepneys, you should beware of your valuables from pickpockets.

Bus: A well-developed long-distance bus network is available for cross-country trips. The bus terminal is in Dau, about two kilometers from Fields Avenue. If you want to get there, it’s best to take a trike.

Vans: Various hotels, such as the Clarkton Hotel, located in the Perimeter’s upper area a good two kilometers from Fields Avenue, operate their shuttle service from dusk until late at night. Guests are brought free of charge in the hotel’s vans to the tourist information office on Fields Avenue and later back to the hotel from there.

Rental cars or motorcycles: If you are familiar with the road traffic conditions in the Philippines, you can rent a car or a motorcycle. The advantage is that you are completely flexible and can go anywhere you want to go. If you don’t want to drive yourself, you can also rent a car with a chauffeur.

Taxis: As with Tricycles, there are plenty of taxis in Angeles that continuously roam the Fields Avenue area. If you value it, you can get your cell phone number from a charming driver and call him whenever you need a taxi.

As already mentioned above, you should always take a trike late at night for safety reasons and never try to reach dark and deserted areas on foot, especially if you are traveling alone. The trip by trike usually costs around 100 pesos. Depending on where you want to go, it can be a little more. The small amount of the equivalent of approximately two euros in no way outweighs the safety risk one takes when walking on lonely streets.

Security

While many reports of the ubiquitous crime scene in Angeles City are often grossly exaggerated, safety concerns are legitimate. It is important to remember that in a city of 300,000 people, there is always a certain level of crime. This is particularly evident in the area of petty crime and occasional offenses. As long as you are within the regions around Fields Avenue, there is little to worry about. There are always enough people around, and the nearest police station is very close. The many beggars and pushy salespeople who can get on your nerves are a constant nuisance. However, if you ignore it and move on, you will quickly find peace again.

Has CoVID made a Setback in the Home Rewiring Businesses?

The whole world witnessed a historic event last year in the form of CoVID. While CoVID had the whole world retreat into the confines of their homes, it has also shown the world the importance of essential service providers like doctors, police, sanitation workers, electricians, grocers, and many more. Without their selfless efforts, the locked-down days would be simply unbearable.

Electricity and Electrical Wiring

The modern world practically runs on electricity. Its presence can be sensed by our kitchens to our cars. The use of electricity in our daily lives is known to all from eight to eighty. Needless to mention we use electricity with the aid of wires. The network of wires to switches and sockets is known as wiring. Even though electricity seems to be quite easy to use, electrical wiring is not an easy feat.

While designing and constructing any building whether residential or commercial, designing the electrical wiring and the outlets are of grave importance, because the smooth running of the building services typically depend on safety and security. Therefore, the electrical design of any building must be kept best to the professionals.

The Impact of CoVID in Home Rewiring

While many small businesses had to shut down because of the lockdown, the ones for electrical rewiring had surprisingly boosted up their sales. The reason behind this is quite simple. The lockdown has most of us confined within our homes. As a result, the use of electrical appliances and gadgets had increased manifold, thereby bringing out the wear and tears in the house, which would otherwise go unnoticed.

Apart from the above reason, many electrical DIY Failures also needed immediate attention from the rewiring professionals thereby increasing the business largely. Just like any other services, getting a list of electrical repairs, and rewiring services businesses is just a click away in this age of superfast internet, e.g. Excel Electricians for Electrical Repairs

Why are professional electricians necessary for conducting any repairs and rewiring?

As most of us are still stuck at home due to the CoVID situation, keeping the home safe from faulty electrical wiring is even more necessary now. While DIY can be applied in various areas, electrical maintenance and repair are not one of them. It is so because most of the jobs concerning electricity require specific skills and permits which are available to only specially trained professionals.

Besides, we might not even be aware of the regular inspection criteria that the professionals are trained for specially. Therefore, it is advisable to leave these tasks to the best of the lot. Even though professional help might look a bit expensive on the surface, the amount of safety and quality it brings cannot be compared to the money they charge, which would otherwise become a classic example of penny-wise but pound-foolish.

Thorough research and review of the electrical contractor you decide to hire is a must before the contract is made to ensure the quality of the wiring and safety of the house.

What Are Some Affordable Hanukkah Gift Ideas?

To make your gift-hunting easy, we’ve put together a list of eight nifty gift ideas for Hanukkah that you can get for $30 or less… CONTINUE READING >>

While the Jewish celebration of Hanukkah (or Chanukah) doesn’t have gift-giving roots, it’s become quite common to give and receive presents over the course of eight nights. Some people prefer to give gifts on all eight nights of the holiday, while others choose to give them en masse on the first or first two nights.

At the same time, some people choose to give a ton of small-ticket gifts, while others go for large, expensive items for their loved ones. In either case, there’s no wrong or right way to give gifts on Hanukkah. After all, this is a holiday of remembrance, sharing, and spreading joy.

To make your gift-hunting easy, we’ve put together a list of eight nifty gift ideas for Hanukkah that you can get for $30 or less.

– Hanukkah Scented Candles

Candles are the go-to gift for virtually every occasion, and Hanukkah is no exception. To keep it on the theme of the holiday, you should consider Hanukkah-scented candles. These are usually infused with notes of potatoes, apple, and butter,    the signature food items often found on tables across Jewish households and parties during Hanukkah celebrations.

Hanukkah is a holiday that’s packed with fanfare, catching up, and lots and lots of food, including jelly doughnuts and freshly fried potato latkes. If you want to bring a humorous twist to your gift of candles, go for notes of clove, popcorn, and butter — and some Chinese dishes, which are often considered Jewish Christmas foods. Don’t worry; these candles will still capture the true spirit of Hanukkah.

– Hanukkah Socks

Again, some people choose to give many small items during Hanukkah. And what could be more fitting for that description than multiple pairs of high-quality, stylish Hanukkah socks? They may be underrated, but socks are a seriously crucial part of any outfit.

Besides, socks are practical, budget-friendly, and come in small packages, making them the perfect Hanukkah gifts. When shopping for them, lean towards brands that use Hanukkah colors of blue, white, or silver. You can also go for neutral bases with beautiful Hanukkah patterns and prints, such as the nine-branched menorah, Star of David, dreidel, and Oy Vey – just to mention a few.

Hanukkah socks with thoughtful designs, details, and patterns are all great. If you want to take it up a notch, buy from a brand that gives part of the proceeds to charity. This way, you can give something amazing and feel great about it.

Don’t overlook the recipient’s taste, style, and fashion preferences, too. No Cold Feet’s helpful guide can help you out if you’re considering Hanukkah socks.

– A Mini Waffle Maker

A mini waffle maker is sure to make someone’s Chanukah extra special. And who doesn’t love to munch into a crunchy, crispy waffle in the morning (or evening)? In fact, a good mini waffle maker can help your loved one revive their leftover Hanukkah latkes.

Of course, the best part is that mini waffle makers from brands like KitchenAid, Dash, Cuisinart, Black + Decker, and Krups are all sold at under $30. Plus, they can be used to make real waffles, as well.

– A Plush Throw or Blanket

Nothing says winter holidays quite like snuggling up with a good read by a crackling fireplace with a mug of hot tea, cocoa, or coffee. Having some cozy accessories to help you stay warm and fuzzy can also make your Hanukkah extra special.

This is a task that calls for a plush throw or blanket, the perfect accessory for your cold-weather family traditions. For one, a plush throw woven from soft polyester, wool, or cotton is what you need to amp up your cuddle-up spot. Most brands offer them in classic and Hanukkah-friendly colors like a blue citadel, navy blue, white, and much more, so you’re sure to find one that suits the recipient.

– Amazon Echo Dot

Who can say no to the small yet powerful Amazon Echo Dot? Whether your recipient is a tech rookie, intermediate, or guru-level expert, they will surely love this mighty beauty that packs impressive bells and whistles under the hood.

Despite its under $30 price tag, the Echo Dot is an amazing smart speaker for its compact size. Your friend, family, or a colleague can use the speaker as an addition to their current setup or create a smart home system on its own. The latest iteration of the smart speaker is more wallet-friendly and doesn’t compromise on quality or design.

– A Stylish Water Bottle

If you’re looking to give someone the gift of health and hydration during Hanukkah, all it takes is a really nice stainless steel flask or water bottle. Look for a model with the signature dual-wall vacuum insulation that’ll help keep cold drinks cold and hot beverages hot for hours on end.

Stainless steel flasks not only look sleek but are also durable, eco-friendly, and effortless to clean and maintain. Leading brands like Kool8,  Hydro Flask, Yeti, Takeya, Klean Kanteen, and Contigo offer a variety of models with capacities ranging from 18 oz. to 64 oz., so there’s a right size of these beauties for everyone.

– An Instant Camera

Sure, selfie sticks and smartphones may have rendered cameras almost unnecessary, but there’s still something of beauty about snapping on an old-school camera and watching photos develop instantly.

Although market leaders like Fujifilm Instax cameras tend to be pricey, you can get some for $30 or less. They are sleek, compact, and some models can help you post your cool photos on Instagram. Almost all of them produce physical prints of your pictures on the spot.

– Hanukkah Shirts

Around the Hanukkah season, funny Hanukkah t-shirts are gaining lots of traction as great inexpensive gifts. You can get tees themed after your recipient’s favorite Jewish foods, such as matzo balls, challah, gefilte fish, potato latkes, brisket, and even gelt. These are sure to put a little smile or chuckle on their face, plus they are great conversation starters when they attend Hanukkah parties.
