2. Ho Chi Minh City

In the center of the city, you’ll find Dong Khoi. This is a small central district that holds a majority of the city’s sights. You’ll find the Ho Chi Minh City Museum and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

3. Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park

Here, you’ll find one of the best caving destinations in the world. Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is a mountain formation that contains massive caverns.

It’s also home to Paradise Cave. This cave goes 31 kilometers below ground.

You’ll also find the Tu Lan Cave here. This is known as a wet cave, and you can even go swimming in it. And if you want to visit the beautiful Phong Nha Caves, then you’ll have to get there by boat.

4. Hue

Hue is one of the most historic villages in Vietnam. The city is brimming with artifacts from the 1800s.

This is also where the Thai Hoa Palace is. You’ll be amazed by it’s lacquered interior detailing. Plus, there’s the Dien Tho Residence, which is where the Queen Mothers used to live.

Don’t forget to take a riverboat cruise down the Perfume River. You’ll be able to see several royal tombs as well as a couple of pagodas. Make sure you check out the tomb of Tu Doc as well as the Thien Mu Pagoda.
