Did I read that right? 15 days in a coach seat? Sounds unbearable! I think I’d save for a roommette.
Great comments guys, here’s some more about Amtrak you might not have known:

Can’t believe I chickened out on a train ride and drove to NY last week. I’ve been home for 4 days now and I’m still exhausted!
Nothing to be afraid of taking the train. No need to chicken out.
What a nice video. Now I just may call Amtrak for a vacation package next year. I remember riding with them a lot when I was a child.
Thanks, you should, it’s a great way to travel.
Wow! Nice seat!! I took coach from Prov RI to Richmond VA,, we did not have nice seats like that!! Looks very comfy!!
Depends on the route, the long range trains out west use the Superliner coaches. Still, they’re all way bigger than a plane or a bus.
Excellent! I especially appreciate your pointing out his height. It gave me a clear picture of what to plan for.
I have a friend that several years ago took her 3 young boys on a trip cross country and back. They had a ball and a great learning experience. They were able to see several friends along the way. They are now Gypsy nesters!!!
Well, OBVIOUSLY, Amtrak has it all over the airlines for comfort!
You got that right!
Hats off to David! When we rode the train we had a sleeper car. Was quite comfortable.
We have taken sleepers too, loved it! here’s a tour:
