Summer’s just around the corner and a much-needed trip is needed for the whole family. Visiting Universal Studios Orlando is ideal in finding thrilling experiences for adults and children as it houses many theme parks as well as a shopping and dining district. It’s literally a themed world waiting for you to discover. Even if you have visited before, you’ll be pleased to know that the attractions keep changing and new additions are always added to the mix. For a fun-filled experience, take a look at this guide below on one of Orlando’s treasures.

How to Buy Tickets

The easiest way to buy tickets is by purchasing them online. Many amusement parks allow you the ability to easily get your hands on passes from the comfort of your own home. Universal Studios itself, with its fun film-based attractions and rides, may require more than one visit to truly get the full experience. There are many online deals that you can save up to, you can click here to visit OrlandoAttractions.com for Universal tickets, or explore any other ticket selling site that you may know of.  You will have one less thing to worry about; as online tickets are better than buying at the gate because it allows you to go park-hopping with many packages to choose from. Park-to-Park tickets give you access to all the parks, but the Express Pass gives you the opportunity to get quick access to some rides, early park admission, and priority seating at dining spots.

Where to Stay and For How Long

The ideal trip to Universal Orlando requires several days, so you can get to experience everything. If you visit during the busy season, you’ll find long queues for a lot of rides and park experiences, so give yourself time to try everything out by extending your trip for several days. Even though it might feel a little pricey, but it’s a smarter choice if you stay at one of the many on-site hotels in the park. Not only will its closeness be convenient for you, but you will also get free Universal Express Passes for each guest.

Universal Studios Main Attractions

There are many attractions that may overwhelm you due to their large number ,but they’re definitely not to be missed. Go on the “Men in Black Alien Attack” ride if you love to compete with your friends or if you’d like to be a MIB agent for the day. If you’re feeling nostalgic, go on the iconic bike ride at “E.T. Adventure.” For the inner child in you, go on the “Minion Mayhem” 3D motion-simulator ride. Go on a thrilling roller coaster ride at “Fast & Furious: Supercharged” or the “Jurassic Park River Adventure.” There’s a myriad of rides and experiences your little kids can enjoy as well including “Curious George Goes to Town” and “A Day in the Park with Barney,” both rides are at Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Possibly one of the top attractions, this park is a real-life version of the Harry Potter world; many fans flock there to truly experience being a wizard/witch for a day. You can go on board the Hogwarts Express train ride in between parks, or try the newly added Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure. Shop at Diagon Alley as if you’re enrolling into Hogwarts yourself by getting your own wizard’s wand at Ollivander’s. You can also buy the snacks from the books/movies like chocolate frogs or flavored jelly beans. Drinking butterbeer in Hogsmeade’s Three Broomsticks or at the Leaky Cauldron is something you should definitely not miss out on as well. End it with an exciting ride called “The Forbidden Journey” where you’ll explore Hogwarts and the castle grounds with magical creatures.

Islands of Adventure

This main attraction is where you’ll find most of the exhilarating roller coaster rides. The newest addition “Skull Island: Reign of Kong” is perfect for an adventure around the jungle where you’ll witness many animals. Rides like “The Incredible Hulk Coaster” will make your heart race with endless twists and turns, while “The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley” is a fun way to see the park from high above.

Where to Dine

There is a ton of places where you can dine at Universal Studios. But if you find overwhelming crowds, try not to waste your time waiting to be seated; save that for the rides. Universal’s CityWalk is an excellent area to pick and choose your preferred restaurant. The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen is an ideal place for a yummy dinner and delicious treats inspired by Willy Wonka. If you’re feeling a little adventurous, try eating at The CowFish, an infusion restaurant mixing premium beef with seafood. Looking for something sweet and savory? Head over to the Bacon Maple Bar.
