YOUR TURN: How’d we do? Did we inspire you to try new things? Is food an important part of your travel experience too?
Hi. This is in regard to David’s post about prescription drug use published in the Huffington Post. I just had to let you know that, indeed, there is now a medication for waking up in the middle of the night – just saw it advertised – called “intermezzo” – and as far as I can ascertain,it is a sublingual form of Ambien! As a retired RN, I could not agree with you more about our drug use as a nation and how awful I think those drug ads are. I think they do not belong on TV at all. I have seen elderly people taking a dozen or so prescription drugs on a daily basis. Well, I will keep this short – just had to laugh, and share, the “intermezzo” news – such a romantic name for another dose of chemicals. Sincerely, Elaine Mercado, RN
Thanks for the info Elaine, looks like a case of life imitating snark. I guess next time I’ll have to make up something even more outlandish. 😉
