Arizona sunsets are among the most spectacular in the world, and I was lucky enough capture one in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

Part of our mission as full time travelers is avoiding winter but, at times, winter finds us. Because snow is so rare in our lives, our breath was taken away as it clung to these desert formations above Tucson, Arizona.

We caught “Little Elvis” headed toward the Lisa Marie on the grounds of Graceland. His parents INSISTED that they had nothing to do with the choice of his outfit, that Little Elvis was simply a true fan. Thank you, thank you very much.

This lady was performing at market day in a small Bavarian German town, collecting for the local hospice program. Loved everything about her, from her musical talent to her shoes.

I found myself wandering alone within the ancient walls of the
old city in Genoa, and a story developed right before my eyes. This shot is one of a series I posted contrasting the old (the city itself) with the new (ideas conveyed through the graffiti) and the old again (the elderly of the city).
I spent the rest of the day in a trance, lost in an ancient city, capturing the people of Genoa.

When I snapped this image, I literally gasped, as had no idea this lady was there until she walked into the frame. She became my muse for the entire series. I spent the rest of the day in a trance, lost in an ancient city, capturing the people of Genoa.

David and I are both huge Eagles fans and firm believers in a “Take It Easy” lifestyle, but we had never been standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona. Call us wacky, we were pretty stoked about the prospect.
The town of Winslow is pretty stoked, as well. They built a little monument to the lyric, complete with a reflection of “a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford slowing down to take a look” at the statue named “Standing On The Corner.” The mood is captured.
