1. There are many means of travel
The distance between the two cities is not very long, as there are about 350 kilometers from Prague to Vienna. As such, there are multiple ways that a person can travel, as compared to some areas where people are restricted to using either planes or ships. A person can opt to use a plane, travel via car, bus or train to get to Vienna from Prague. All of these options have various advantages and disadvantages, depending on an individual’s taste, budget, and the number of people that they may be traveling with. Traveling via plane is likely to take the fastest time, roughly about one hour without putting into consideration the time taken to get to the airport and all the boarding procedures. The bus and train rides take about four hours each, but they are also quite affordable and fun if you are traveling with your family.
2. You could do a road trip
Vienna and Prague are both famous tourist attraction sites due to the beauty and wonder that both cities bestow. The countries home to these cities also contain breathtaking scenery that is quite a sight to behold. If you are looking to be a bit more adventurous, therefore, when traveling, one of the things you could consider is making the most of the situation and hop on a bus tour trip. This will take longer, but you will get to visit a few tourist sites and take some interesting pictures. You will also get to make some interesting, like-minded people along the way, some of which you might end up being friends with for a long time.
3. Planning is key
Like with any trip, good planning is essential for its success. This is especially necessary if you are traveling with kids. They get cranky and bored and can cause a trip to be difficult even if it is just for a few hours. Some of the things you can consider doing include packing some snacks for them, carrying wet wipes because they will get messy and you could even teach them some fun games they could try when they are bored. Other things you need to look out for is the location of the train and bus stops, which will help you plan your time accordingly.
4. Enjoy the trip!
As stated above, Prague and Vienna are located in countries with very beautiful sites. As such, do not get so hung on the trip that you miss all the glorious places along the way. If you can make a few stops, do so and take some pictures for memories. Try out some of the cuisines when you get to Vienna and be sure to buy some souvenirs to take back home with you. So when you are on the bus or train, take some time off to look out the window and just enjoy and take in all the lovely scenery. It can be hard to do so especially in this age of technology, but try to be in the moment as much as possible. It will be all worth it.
