This is one of my favorite monuments because it is so unusual. It is a memorial to Jan Palach and Jan Zajíc, martyrs of the Velvet Revolution, on the ground in Wenceslas Square in Prague.

The old port area of La Boca in Buenos Aires breathes tango. Colorful and vibrant, I found myself quickly immersed in the sultry music and dance of Argentina. A photographer’s dream.

This is one of my favorite shots! The animals are so friendly in the Galapagos, including when in flight – the expressions on these guys’ faces are priceless as this frigate comes in for a closer look. I think I was the only one who remembered I had a camera!

In The Galapagos, thousands of Marine Iguanas make an evening pilgrimage to Fernandina Island to worship the sun. Veronica, unable to believe her eyes, and mesmerized by the iguanas’ lack of fear of human nearness, simply laid down and joined in the surreal ceremony.
