  1. Amazing trip and adventurous too. Having German sausage, wandering along cobblestone streets and attending the biggest food festival, seems amazing. Happy travelling. 🙂

  2. I was on a Viking Ocean Cruise in April… Barcelona-Bergen. Looking at your photos of the ship brings back memories. I almost feel like a traveler now that I’ve taken a journey similar to what you guys do!! Looks fantastic:)

  3. Love following your adventures! You’ve already done so much on this cruise. The food looks fantastic! Can’t wait to see your trip in Russia.

  4. So glad to have found your blog! Doing this cruise in reverse next month.
Would like to hear what feelings are about the optional spirits package.. Do fellow travelers consider it a value?

    1. That’s a value that’s hard to pinpoint, Pam. We’re beer and wine drinkers and Viking includes those with lunch and dinner, so we’re good. For those that enjoy a cocktail, the small bottles in our stateroom minibar are $4/each. I’m not certain the price in the lounges – but I’ll check on that and report back. -Veronica

  5. You know I’m avidly following your adventures because I’m going to be on the same cruise in 3 weeks and can’t wait! My sister and I are going to Stockholm 3 days prior to the cruise to have some time for slow exploring but mostly to get over jet lag. It really knocked us out in Russia. Your pictures are lovely – blue skies sure are a photographer’s best friend!

  6. I can well understand the appeal of living in the Södermalm area of Stockholm: gentrified, quirky and a truly fascinating history as well as an amazing location! And I would have loved to have been rowed between the islands at least once by the salty tongued Roddarmadams!
